What Is the "Village of the Arts?"
The Village of the Arts is a one-of-a-kind, artist-driven neighborhood located just south of downtown Bradenton, Florida. What began as a small residential area has evolved into a thriving arts district filled with galleries, studios, restaurants, murals, and locally owned businesses. Stretching from 9th Street West to 17th Avenue West, the Village is a place where creativity spills into the streets. Visitors are welcome to explore, shop, dine, attend events, and connect directly with the artists who call this neighborhood home. Whether you are here for an art walk, live music, a unique meal, or a spontaneous discovery, the Village offers an experience you will not find anywhere else.
Our Story
Founded in 1999, the Village of the Arts grew from a shared vision to revitalize a historic Bradenton neighborhood through creativity, collaboration, and community engagement. Artists began moving into the area, restoring homes, opening studios, and transforming the neighborhood into a living, breathing arts destination. Over the years, the Village has grown into one of the most distinctive and visited cultural areas in Manatee County. Today, the Village continues to evolve while staying rooted in its original spirit: art, inclusion, and neighborhood pride.

The Artists Guild of Manatee
The Village of the Arts is supported by the Artists Guild of Manatee, a nonprofit organization dedicated to building a community where artists can live and work while enhancing quality of life through the arts. The Guild works alongside residents, artists, and local businesses to:

- Promote arts-based economic development
- Organize events and art walks
- Advocate for the Village and its future
